Authentic. Multifaceted. Unconventional.

Those are the words that best describe Alex Love. Washington, DC based Alex Love began DJing in 2012. In 2016, she took a leap of faith, left her professional career behind and landed full-time residencies at several popular venues around the city including Eighteenth Street Lounge, The Dirty Goose, Hill Prince, and The Baltimore Eagle. As a guest DJ, Love has also displayed her genre-bending DJ sets at Heist DC, Lost Society and W Hotel.

When she’s not commanding dance floors from the DJ booth, Love turns her talents to corporate events. Recent clients include The Brand Guild (where current FLOTUS Jill Biden was the speaker), EMILY’s List (where she played for a V.I.P. crowd including then VP-Elect Kamala Harris & “Black-ish” Jennifer Lewis), The Music Trust for Capital Pride (where The Circle Season 4, Frank Grimsley (2022) and RuPaul’s Drag Race & All Star, Tatianna (2023) was on the McDonald’s float), Whitman-Walker Clinic (where DC’s Mayor Muriel Bowser was the speaker at The Max Robinson Center ribbon cutting) and a host of retail establishments. Love has opened for Def Jam Records artist Coco Jones at The Howard Theater. She has also DJ’d live for Ed Reed, who played for the Baltimore Ravens.

In June 2020, Love partnered with Whitman-Walker to create The B.A.G.G. Series, a weekly womxn party where she serves as one of the resident DJs. The series also provides a platform for attendees to address sexual health and related topics.

Love also combined her interest in music and astrology to create Lyrical Blueprint - a platform that generates a soundtrack based on a person’s birth chart!
